Hey everyone, welcome to my first recipe for my new website. Now since breakfast is the first meal of the day I wanted to begin with some different ideas to start your day in the right direction. Now many people are rushed in the morning and even use that as an excuse not to eat. If you are Intermittent Fasting then that is fine but don’t use laziness and not waking up early enough as a reason to go through the “Drive-Thru” at your local fast-food chain. Loading up on shit food first thing in the morning is not doing your health or your work performance any favors in the least. Here I am presenting one of my favorite morning smoothies. It’s quick and easy with very little prep time at all so let’s get started.

“Get Your Ass Moving” Smoothie

6 oz of Black Coffee

2 Scoops of Team Skip Protein Chocolate (True Nutrition)

2 cups of Organic Baby Spinach

1/4 cup of Plain Kefir Yogurt

3 Ice Cubes (optional)

2 tsp. Hershey’s Cocoa Powder

1/2 tsp. Ground Ceylon Cinnamon

1 tbsp. Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

1 tbsp. Cashew Butter

So here you have it, folks. This will provide your body with a plethora of both micro and macronutrients to help start your day with a bang. So let’s take a look at why this combination works so well. Now to blend this up with efficiency you will need a good quality blender. If you have read my past articles I am a big fan of Blendtec and Vitamix. You can’t go wrong with either as they are both amazing.

I am sure a large percentage of you reading this drink coffee in the morning as do tens of millions worldwide. Some of you need that caffeine pick me up, while others just like the taste. If you are not a stim junkie you can use decaf coffee in this recipe with no issue.

Lastly, we needed to add some good quality fats to the mix. These good fats will not only help keep you full for hours to come but are a cornerstone of this meal since it is lower in carbs. Coconut oil is a good source of plant-based saturated fats in the form of MCT’s. The cashew butter will add in a nice source of monounsaturated fats and boy does it taste good!

Now, this is a pretty big serving and would be something a guy in the 200-250 pound range would consume. For some of the ladies out there that are lighter, they may want to cut this recipe in half with the key ingredients.
